Space-Age Music
Often lumped into the category of 'Lounge', Space-Age music takes the swanky sounds of the 60s and added that ever-optimistic Spuntnik polish. Theremin and other electronic sounds prevail, as does
gratutitous hornblasts and enchanting worldless vocals. Check this stuff out, it's hipper than you'd think.

| Space Age Bachelor Pad Music
Esquivel is the master of space-age bachelor pad music, a loungy sound that emphasises stereo seperation and over-the-top instrumental arrangements. This album is a best-of compliation and is an amazing listen from beginning to end.

| The Essential Perrey & Kingsley
If you've seen the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland, then you're familar with Perrey & Kingsley's work, and that song (Baroque Hoedown) is included in this CD. This is super-square beep-and-boing synth music from the 1970s without even a touch of groove, but the end result is fun and frenentic. This is an 'instant smile' album.

| CQ
This is an amazing space-age soundtrack from a little known SciFi movie. We don't know anything about the movie itself, but the music has an indredible vibe with a kind of "Walt Disney EPCOT" feel to it. The sound is hopeful and glorious. This is an often-overlooked CD.
