p.s. Funny thing is that my Mom ( Ba), Eli's daughter, went on to become the marketing manager of the OC Fairgrounds most of the 80's. Small world.

Date: 1961-07-06. Assignment: Orange County Fair July 11-16. 4 pics. L-r All shots: Linda Southfield, Miss Cypress, 17; Pam Bennett, Miss Orange, 17; Garland Grimsley, Miss La Habra, 18...candidates for Pirate Queen of Fair... Carrousel shot: Pam holds Fairground sign pointing in 2 directions, but even on carrousel all roads lead to Fair. Sea shell tells Linda all about South Sea theme of Fair as other 2 girls wait turn in little grass shack. Girls in outrigger canoe watch 2 men hack tiki god out of old log to be used in setting for Hawaiian Village".
