I wonder if the guy at the stereo store could make it work? Like I said I'm a bumbler when it comes to simple repairs and even today I'm working on painting a 60's surf Rat Fink German fiberglass helmet with less than satisfying results and figure making the modifications to the radio would be like diamond cutting where one false move and the thing is ruined.

First find the parts.
Try to get an antenna with a nut right on the end.
Then take them to a guy who builds models, or makes tiki stuff and ask him if he can do it and you give him the parts.
This is a 10, 20 minute job really.
A girl wanted me to make one for her tiki space then changed the theme.
So I looked into it already.

My wife and I are on a cross country road trip and somehow our 1rst thrift store stop was in Alexandria,Va. Here’s what we found;
Four mugs from the Royal Lahaina on Maui and a vintage framed image of a Hawaiian petroglyph. It’s pretty dirty-we’ll see how it cleans up.

It’s a spoon alright. Not just any spoon however-it’s a spoon for getting the cherries outta the jar and into your Mai Tai. Nice finds Jon
Cheers
