Benz, feel free. His eyes were actually created using the "eye lesson" technique you posted about a year (or so) ago.

Nice carving.

It doesn't look like me at all, though.

Aloha, Aloha. Just been right through this thread. Your work is just great! Very crisp, clean & deep. I can see when a sculptor has a real understanding of form & design & youve got both by the truckload! Well done. I love seeing the smaller work being done here. Very inviting & warming characters!! Thanks for all of the props - gives me a warm fuzzy feeling all over. Now I need a shower. These guys are alot of fun to carve. I bought a chunk of basswood about a year ago and have been chopping off pieces for a while - and still have a alot to go. Just got a goodie bag from my brother in Oregon so the wood pile continues to grow. More to come.

Here's another mini tiki. Similar to the last one but with a few refinements. The arms cut thru and the design is definately unique. Every time I make one of these I learn something new - the angles, proportion, expression. He should be done by the end of the week.

I like your pocket tikis, they would fit perfektly as shifter knobs! The designs are cool, from your small ones to big ones, lots of inspiration!
