Heres a Solid 5' x 2' x 3" thick Piece of Oak For a non Tiki related carve I have to get going on. I have not worked in Oak for some time. I forgot how HEAVY Oak is It's going to be a Sign.




And a Little Maori guy in Black Walnut.



and I still have the Marq to finish up.

I just got tired......

Really good piece of oak, take care it is the heart which makes the crack... Hum, the smell of the black walnut... This lil' maori feel already the well done...

Nice.

I knew you'd crack eventually.

Winters here do suck... just getting started on a 30 hour snowstorm that will deliver 12 inches.
Cabin fever set in 3 months ago.

A good workshop will keep you somewhat sane, and you've got a nice one.

The Maori guy is super clean, great work.

I'm stuck here until May, heading out to Bamboo Ben's to get some sun for a weekend and thaw my bones.

Good luck with the sign, looks like fun!
