Kevin emailed me this info this morning:
The Tangaroa "Illuminated figurine" (they were concerned to call it a lamp, because they feel a lamp would be able to light up a room, while this is a mood piece) is $199, Limited Edition of 500 and will be released On-line on August 12. With the mistakes that keep popping up on-line, I'm telling everyone to use the 1800 number and phone in their order on Aug 12. It seems that speaking to a real human being is still the best way to go.
Yikes! I have 3 weeks to raise another $199????
Arrrrgh...... I may have to miss this one....

Got my barker birds and tiki gods. The bird is sweet, but the top of Tongaroa-Ru was broken, so I'm returning it. I can't figure out why they picked the Maui one when you can't get it to stand up, I would have rather had Pele.

does anyone know if the tangaroa ru's bird head piece is supposed to be separate in shipping and then 'joined' after opening? mine was also 'not connected' when i opened the package.
the metal pegs in the bird's feet don't really seem to fit properly and i'm worried that i'll screw it up if i have to force them too hard. the wings are also a little flimsy...

The legs on mine don't line up to well and look like they were forced out and scraped some of the area around the holes, and there is a tiny tiny piece broken off where the wings go through it.

Mine came joined together, with a little piece of Styrofoam jammed in-between to make it safer for shipping.
My big disappointment is the shirt. It look great, but as soon as I took it out of the package, one of the buttons fell off. A couple of more of them look like they could go at any second.

Damn,
I just got my shirt and Tiki Gods figurines. The shirt is BEAUTIFUL. The Tiki Gods are AMAZING...but....My Tangaroa-Ru is broken! The top is still attached but bent forwards and the material around it all broken off. I know this item is a limited edition and I don't want to miss out on having it. What is the best way to return them? I would rather return the one figure in exchange for another. Will they allow this? I don't want to send the whole pack and then get another one with more broken figurines. Help! Please let me know how you guys return yours...

Got my XL shirt on Friday, and it fits just great.. and looks so cool. Great graphics. They were very generous with the sizing. The color of the day is purple!
