Michael Burston, the Motörhead guitarist who performed with the band between 1984 and 1995 under the stage name Würzel, died today allegedly at the hands of cardiomyopathy (heart disease). He was 61.

Rob Grill, Lead Singer & Bassist for The Grass Roots died on Monday, July 11. Call it a guilty pleasure , if you will, but I am a huge Grass Roots fan & feel they belonged in that joke of a Hall Of Fame ahead of many that are already enshrined. Thank you, Rob, for all of the music I loved so much growing up. Godspeed, man.

WWII Navajo Code Talker Joe Morris passed away on July 17, 2011 at the age of 85. 1 of more than 400 Native Americans who used the language of ancestors to relay secret battlefield orders during World War II. High ranking military officers have stated that the United States would never have won the Battle of Iwo Jima without the secrecy afforded by the code talkers.
