Glen, Do you take requests?

If so, how about the Big Blowout by Henry Mancini, the party song from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Thanks.

I like the cut from the Polynesian Cultural Center's "Creation" which lists the tiki gods:

Ku, Kane ,Lono, Maui, etc.

I was there a few years ago and it took me back to an incredible vacation, particularly as I saw the show on my 40th Bday.

Funny, many parts of the North Shore, as well as some parts of Honolulu, remain in the 60s/70s, both good and bad.

Hi all,

Catch "The Elevator" a special 2-hour edition of Jet Set Planet, that aired Friday Night (Nov 10) from midnight to 2am. You can hear the show streaming at
http://www.jetsetplanet.com. Just click on the "Midnight Madness" link.

You can also catch our regular show, by clicking on the "recent show" link. Rachel and Jason subbed for me and did a great job. It's like 2 JET SET's for the price of one!

Check out all the action at http://www.jetsetplanet.com

Enjoy the double shot of (un)EZ-listening

Ciao,

glen

Hi everyone!

The latest streaming edition of Jet Set Planet, episode #69, is available with realplayer at
http://helix.kfai.org/ramgen/replay/jetset-1.rm or via my website http://www.jetsetplanet.com

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm not for talkin', I'm for eatin' -- and playing records!

Highlights include:

Steve and Eydie Walk on By the soundstage.
We go on a love trip with Peter Nero (faster Peter, faster!)
Nichols and Ray examine Doctors, and get a bad case of the hiccups
"You play, I sing, Man," Sammy tells Laurindo.
F & T's tribute to Hoagy Carmichael
I wish you love, and so do the members of the Kokee Band
You decide: Yma or Bas Sheva?
Plus Louis Prima, Eddy Arnold, and the 2 MILLION strings of Helmut Zacharias

Pass the gravy and the mashed potatoes. The Higher-Than-Fi team is starvin'

Enjoy!

OMIGOD! I just went to KFAI.org and it simply says, "Glen bids a fond farewell to Friday Mornings." It doesn't say anything about switching to another night/time! I haven't listened in a while and I got all anxious and twitchy at the thought of no Jet Set!

BIG FAT "WHEW"!

And... HURRAH! I can't wait to be able to listen LIVE instead of the archives!

Hi Grenadine,

Thanks for the heads up on the website. I cleared up the confusion. That's right I'm movin' on up to Monday nights at 10:30 to Midnight.

Glad to hear you'll be tuning in!!!
