Hope you like Soundtracks!

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - October 8, 2007:

*Fan favorite Hugo Montenegro returns to Jet Set Planet after a long hiatus and goes swimming with "The Shark."

*Don Costa asks "Can You Dig It?" and the worrisome DJ (yours truly) scambles for an acceptable alternative title for the film that the song comes from. End result: The Soul of Uncle Charley? Martin Luther King and William Demarest roll over in their graves simutaneously.

*Seeing double with Quincy Jones! Q at his creepiest: "Kinda Scary" from Mirage and "Psychosis" from The Slender Thread.

*And the IBM 7090 rounds out the night with a song it wrote itself.

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - November 26, 2007:

The "Ones that Eat Spaghetti" invade Jet Set Planet and now everyone's running around topless, drunk, wearing skirts made from plastic red and white checkered tablecloths. Stick a candle in the Chianti bottle -- it's JSP Italian style: Piccioni, Bembo, Morricone, Umiliani, Trovajoli...

Plus...

*A ballad by Johhny Gregory for a guy with two robot legs, one robot arm, and one hell of a (robot) eye for the ladies.

*An exotica set for the drunkards of 3 a.m.

*Mike Nichols picks up Elaine May in a cocktail lounge with a line about mimeograph machines.

*And the Brass Ring round out the night with a big bowl of Gazpacho!

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - December 10, 2007:

Come celebrate 90 minutes of Beatles covers by washed-up Easy Listening hacks and wannabes. Stiff,
soul-stripping music from deep within the Higher-Than-Fi universe.

*Learn why a man goes from loathing Beatles' covers to LOVING them.

*Crack the code of the mysterious semaphore signals the Beatles were sending out from the cover of Help!

*Watch your skin crawl; here, there and everywhere, courtesy of Rod McKuen.

*Scratch you head at the King Cousins' version of Good Day Sunshine.

*Listen as John Montenegro (son of Hugo) almost single handily ruins his Dad's reputation.

*And get counter, counter cultured by Mitch Miller (showers and/or brain washing recommended after this
song).

Had enough of Holiday Music?

On Christmas Eve do you need the kinda rhythm that the Little Drummer Boy just can't provide?

Look for those 3 Wise Men - Jack Costanzo, Willie Rodriguez, and Preston Epps - to show up and turn that
ol' manger scene into a swinging Bongo and Conga party on Jet Set Planet. Guest stars include Rosengarden and
Kraus, Terry Snyder, and Mongo Santamaria.

Plus a Bonus all Les Baxter exotica set!

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - January 21, 2008:

Jet Set Planet DJ Glen Leslie, and Higher-Than-Fi
Researcher Steve Kyle amassed over 3 crates of used
vinyl on a whirlwind, November thru December,
on-the-cheap, record buying spree that took them to
Toledo OH, Chicago IL, Blaine, MN and a few points in
between. After extensive listening sessions reviewing
these albums, it is now time to divvy up the load of
gold between them.

But who CHOOSES first?
