Highlights from Jet Set Planet - Ocotber 5, 2008:

*Jet Set Planet: if you could smell it, it would smell like the inside of an old lady's purse.

*The Ventures get all soulful, and shout "Licking Stick - LICKING STICK!" Do you think they're talking about their surfboards?

*Jackie DeShannon, Los Bandidos, The Orchestra Guanabara, and Mahi Beamer make their debut on Jet Set Planet.

*It's Three O'Clock in the Morning. Who would you trust to answer that big RED phone? Barack, Hillary, Bill, Joe, Sarah, John, or Ferrante and Teicher? Come on. The choice is clear: Ferrante / Teicher '08

*The Peanut Vendor is really a Top Spy for a sinister evil government, and he's being chased by a group of high octane G-Men -- or at least Lalo Schifrin makes it sound that way.

Plus a double-shot of Hawaiian tunes by Charles Bud Dant, the Waikikis, The Maile Serenaders, and Webley Edwards.

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - October 13, 2008:

*Jet Set Planet: Like driving a riding lawnmower from the Halls of Montezuma to the Halls of Washington. (Guess you'll have to listen to find out what the hell THAT's all about.)

*This week's show rounds up some of the best that we've heard over the last 6 months, such as

Herb Pilhofer's "Knollwood Plaza"

Electric Tommy

A special super-set from Jack de Mello's opus "The World of Kui Lee."

And for you Arthur Lyman fans, wait until you hear his version of Ode to Billie Joe. Amazing!

*Plus it's our fall pledge drive at KFAI. We need help to pay for the 900 watt antenna we broke the bank installing this week. That's a big boost (from 30 watts to 900!) but kinda a gamble, so if you can help us ouT go to
http://www.kfai.org. Just be sure to tell 'em Jet Set Planet sent you!

*Loads of great thank you gifts for donating as well! Including a Jet Set Planet T-shirt. Email me at higherthanfi@yahoo.com for all the details.

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - November 10, 2008:

*Sammy Davis is "At the Crossroads" and he almost causes an accident! Stop talking to the animals on your cell phone and just drive!

*We also cover all the new "scores" from our Unique Thrift store run from last weekend: Mystic Moods, Paul Desmond, 101 Strings - to name a few.

*Klaus Wunderlich arrives on our soundstage for a 3-song set of mind-jumbling boggle.

*And as promised the wheels finally come off when we explore A Child's Garden of Grass and then attempt to drive in the Grand Prix of Gibralter.

Highlights from Jet Set Planet - December 15, 2008:

MP3 AUDIO PROBLEMS FIXED!
NOW BROADCASTING IN 128K STREAMING MP3. SOUNDS SENSATIONAL at
http://www.jetsetplanet.com

*Jet Set Planet at 8 degrees below zero. Baby, it IS cold outside!

*The Smart Set provide background music for stripping down and guzzlin' potent potables beside the fire. Who doesn't like drinking while nude?

*Andre Pop presents his love song to a very sexy saxophone. Boy that's one hot sax, Mr. French... but, aah, you can't REALLY take your saxohphone out on a date, can you?

*The Templeton Twins prove time travel is possible. They go back in time to 1933, and reproduce a hit from 1969. It all seems confusing now, but it'll all make sense in due time.

*Sabu and Tito have a "drum off." Who wins? You decide.

*and plenty of EZ SLEAZE with Joe Pass and Jerry Ross leading the way.

Complete December 15th playlist available at http://www.kfai.org/node/16464
