Glen,
Found some Spy-lps on the Usenet this week. Since they are vinyl-rips, they should be fairly copyright-safe to play.

I finally got around to listening to this show. Fantastic! Love it. I only wish all the past shows were archived on the site. But I'm not complaining. I'm glad it's online at all.

Gator,
Thanks for tuning in! Just got a big pile of new vinyl from my trip out east to see Waitiki. It won't be in the next show, but I'll be unleashing it very soon, so stay tuned!

IZ,
LOVE the music. Keep it up. I was born in Minneapolis and moved to California when I was 5 but I have a warm spot in my heart for all things from Minnesota. I think it's great you're keeping the flame alive of this genre of music. Rock on!

Glen,
I've meant to respond your show 4 weeks ago or so. Your track by Eden Ahbez titled "Full Moon" was great. Did you say that it's currently released or going to be re-released soon?
Also, I really liked Enoch Light's version of "Mas Que Nada", Peggy Lee's "An Empty Glass", and that really weird/cool "Tarot" by Adoraxia(sp?). Do you have a source for that one?
The next week, my favorite by far was Mancini's version of "Lujon" from Mr. Lucky Goes Latin.
Keep up the good work. You're always adding new songs and bands to my must-have list.
Thanks again,
Sabu

Sabu,
Thanks for listening! The Eden Ahbez came off a CD that is in the record library at the KFAI radio station. It's called Incredibly Strange Music Vol 2, which is a companion CD to the book of the same title. I checked Amazon, and it was for sale. Both book and CD are worth picking up.
As for Ataraxia, you can pick that up for a couple of bucks at Basic Hip's digital gold store. The LP is called The Unexplained and its pretty weird.
Lujon by H.M. is one of Higher-than-Fi researcher Steve Kyle's favorite tracks. Which puts you in very good company (and vice-versa).
Oh which reminds me, like it or not, I think you are now a member of the Higher-than-fi research team (along with Traitor Vic and a couple other TCers) since some of those "sharity" downloads you pointed me toward are making it onto the show. THANKS for all your input. Very much appreciated.
Finally, check out http://www.jetsetplanet.com when you get a second. It's just a fledgeling web precence, but we're on our way at least.
Mahalo,
glen

Hey, it's a small web site, but you've got a great start. Excellent pic on the home page. And thanks for posting the track list. Any chance you can get all the archives up there?
Love your show!!

Thanks GatorRob! Eventually we'll try to archive more shows than just the two weeks, but probably won't have that up until sometime later this year. In the meantime, we should have a LP cover gallery soon.
Stay tuned!
