Is anyone else getting RealPlayer time-out messages after playing this stream a few minutes? I've maxed out all my RP settings and it still stops playing with a timeout message after about 4 to 5 minutes.
But what little I've been able to hear...it's great!

Premex, I sent you a PM asking you a bit more about the problems you've had. Once in a blue moon the time out issue happens, but usually the stream works fine the next time I try. So if this is something that is happening consistently, please let me know.
If anyone else has had trouble accessing the stream, please let me know (either here or by PM) and I'll forward the info to the KFAI webteam. Until the day comes that we can podcast or have MP3 files on the KFAI site, the stream is the only way I can get the show out to you all.

I checked the stream via PC and Mac -- seems to be running fine. Give 'er another go if you get the chance.
On a related note, a lot of folks have been asking for podcasts and MP3s. I'm working on a plan to have something in place by February along these lines. So I'll keep you posted!

I'm stumped. I've tried the stream from a few different computers (mac and pc) and it seems to work fine. Checked with other listeners, and they seem to be getting through. One time when I had trouble with my Mac at home, I just downloaded realplayer for Mac OSX and reinstalled it. http://www.real.com/player/index.html?lang=en (click on the free version).
Not sure if that will help, but I hope so.

(The extra bonus for us here in Minneapolis is that there's a 3-story dilapidated old adult toy store called Sexworld in the warehouse district. It has a giant vertical sign with the letters in bright red. You just can't help thinking of that place when you hear that tune! Alas, if it were only as good as the promise of that song...)
