Jola everyone! Thanks for your warm reply!
Mr. Ho and Granite tiki, I'm leaving right now for a damn stupid wedding in Newport (don't tell my girlfriend I said that). Why god? WHY?
Good luck and have a drink for me!

Aloha NE Tiki peeps!
It's confirmed, my ohana, including my fabulous 94 year old grandmother, will be taking in the sites and sounds of all that is the HukeLau in Chicopee on August 5th, and we hope to see you there, too! (Looking at your Bargoyle)!
We have reservations for dinner at 6pm and the show starts at 7:15pm, so why not make a weekend of it and stay the night at the Hampton Inn just up the road.
We are and hope to meet some of you soon!
Aloha and safe travels!
xoxo

Howdy New England Folks,
Greetings from San Diego. I'll be in Boston for work Sept 12-16 and staying at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. I'm going to do my best to get up to the Kowloon, soak up the ambiance, get a drink and score a mug!
Unfortunately I will not have a rental car. I've identified the subway and bus route to get there but can't find (online) the scheduled times to be at the stops.
It looks like cabing it is an option but will be pricey.
Any suggestions or advise from the locals on what is a must at the Kowloon or transportation would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know much about the Kowloon but it looks GREAT. You all must be stoked to have this place to hangout at.
I look forward to checking out this awesome place and perhaps having a drink with a fellow TCer.
Thanks all,
SK

Hi Sofa King (hee! with the name!). Taking a cab from Boston to the Kowloon in Saugus is going to be very expensive, round trip. You can cut it down a bit by doing the following:
From your hotel, walk a couple blocks to the Tufts Medical Center T stop on the Orange Line. You can also walk in the other direction and pick up the Orange Line at Back Bay Station. See this website for details - http://mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/subway/lines/?route=ORANGE
From there take the subway to Oak Grove Station in Malden. Malden is one town over from Saugus. You can get a cab from there (it's a smallish station - you may have to call a cab - Malden Taxi - (781) 322-5050, or Tan Taxi. (781) 395-6666. Call Saugus Taxi ((781) 231-9222) in the other direction for the trip back to Oak Grove and the subway back to Boston and you've saved enough money to buy a few mugs and an extra drink or 2! :^) And the Kowloon does their own mug, too, just FYI. Also tee shirts. Just sayin'.
Enjoy the Kowloon!

Yes, indeed it was! Sorry we couldn't join the caravan to Bali Hai, but I'm sure it was fun!
