Aloha all - If anyone was interested I was planning on having a gather ing at my place on the 16th. We could start with dinner at the Wu. The Wu is about a minute from my house and has good food (AWESOME wings) and potent drink (Scorpion and Volcano bowls are lethal). After that we could hang at my place for some more drink and conversation. Maybe even some cards or something too? Anyone who wants to come is invited and you're also more than welcome to stay the night. The house is plenty big enough to hold all of the New England Ohana (and then some).
There's also a flea market minutes away that is open on Sundays. Who knows, maybe we could get lucky and find some Tiki artifacts there!
If you want to come just PM me and I'll send you my address and contact info.

Hi again - If the 16th doesn't work for everyone then maybe the 23rd? Looks like that could be a better time for both Pappy and Rain. Currently I have nothing going on for both dates and could easily setup a party for either dates. Just let me know.
Pappy - t-minus 25 days and counting until the Hukilau!

Hi All, this is kind of a Local Tiki find but also a flashback for me....
Note in the postcard the entrance is labeled the outrigger lounge & has two carved entry posts
Located in beautiful Haverhill & strangely enough even though the exchange is different it still exists? May have to Visit Haverhill again soon.
& last but not least does anyone else remember the Saturday Afternoon must see TV?

Hi Tikisgrl - I Googled the Oriental Gardens and came up with what looks like sad news. The place is still there though it looks like it may have been redecorated. Check it out here:

What is it with Karaoke and Chinese restaurants? This is the second time in less than two weeks I've seen this combination.
All - the 23rd is actually bad for me Looks like it'll be the 16th or bust. We're going to a friend's house for the weekend of the 23rd in Framingham, MA. Hmm, I wonder if there are any undiscovered places in Framingham???

The 16th is a bust for us. We have had way too much going on, we need to catch up with home things.
23rd may be an option still.
But I would love to get together after Hukilau to see what everybody brought me back!

I guess our lunch at the Kowloon trip is a wash
Johnman, thanks for the invite, but we only had the afternoon free. Meeting up with some friends & doing the Big E sat night (weather permitting....if it rains, I'm all for a trip to RI).
Why the Big E you ask?
See for yourself!!

Have fun this weekend everyone! And pappy or johnman, whenever you want cash to bring me back tons of swag from the Huke, just let me know.

Too bad tonight fell through. Oh well there's plenty of other times we can get together. Hope the the Big E and Foreigner were cool Bargoyle. Oh yeah and we'll take cash alright. I'll buy you some drinks while we're at the Hukilau. Can't promise they'll make it home though! Just let us know what you're looking for and I'll keep my eyes open (if I can keep them open of course).
I'm probably out until sometime after the Hukilau for any NE events. I figure the Lono Lounge is the next place I'll hit when I get back. How's the construction going Bargoyle??

This is weird - I was wrong about where I'll be on the 23rd. We're actually going to see a friend in Haverhill, not Framingham. We'll be 5 short miles away from Oriental Garden. Looks like I'll have to make a trip there sometime next weekend seeing I'll be so close. If it still looks anything like Tikigrls pictures then we've found a gem!

Tiki Port Hyannis? Else johnman and I had the most tentative of plans for the House of Wu. Johnman? Rain? SB? Tikimortis? Granite? Professor? Mary Ann?
