Those Creepy Tiki guys were creeping around with a camcorder on Fri. night. They came up behind my father without him knowing and stuck the camcorder right in his face. He didn't who they were or what to say he he said something like "I swear, she told me she was 18" and both guys fell over laughing. I'd love to get a copy af that!

Those Creepy Tiki guys are a hoot!!! It goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by the cover; you look at them and their gold teeth and "tiki" doesn't jump to mind! But they love tiki! Good for them. They are SOO Hoopylau (The Modesto event) that they would WIN the outfit competition if they ever showed up. Looking forward to seeing those kooks next year. ZAZZ!!

And next year tell me when you're going to Scores!

Cabana Boy, you are sooo hot.
I saw you at the Mai Kai, first show, having a ball at the railing overlooking the floor. I'm the one who sent you the Jet Pilot and the note to meet me in the garden. Did you not get it?

I only have a few pics to share of the Hukilau but I have a ton of pics of my Southern tiki road trip I'll post when I have a chance. With my work load after an 8 day absence, tonight's event at Trader Vic's, and the Hooptylau this weekend it may be another week or so before I post those.
Strange "halo" around Mr. Drasnin:

A favorite part of the Hukilau for me was when I heard the exotic voice of Yma Sumac signing with Robert Drasnin. Wait--that was FORMIKAHINI!!!!

That was Yma in the audience, watching Alice take over the throne as the new queen of exotic vocalists.
The torch has been passed.
Bruce - your DAD was there? I didn't even know!

You're right Smiley. I think my secret desires for that jacket have been revealed! If it were to be made into a complete suit with matching pants, my god!

He had an absolute blast and so did his wife Sandy (not my mom). They definitely want to come back next year. Sandy is now a big Robert Drasnin fan and has subscribed to Tiki Magazine.
Here's Dad and me just before he knocked that sheild over
Myself and FreddieBallsomic
Some of Mr. Drasnin and the captivating Formikahini (whom I didn't get a chance to meet - damn!)
