Keep your shorts on people, this was obviously a mistake in posting,
if you have not already figured that out.

Nice work, Dawn. I really like your palette on these. I love working in watercolors, and think your glazing of different colors has a nice, loose feel to it, especially on the large, elliptical mask.

Fresh baked painting! MMMM its still hot and melty.
Ok I just finished this one about 5 minutes ago. at least I think its finished I might play with it a little
But with watercolor you get one shot to get it right. Theres no re-working an area, once its on the paper that's what you get. As far a process goes. I usually don't paint the same thing twice. I don't do any pre sketches, I just get an idea and go for it. I do have hundreds of sketchbook pages full of ideas I haven't had time to deal with.
I had requests for larger pieces. and incidentally most of my pieces ARE large. however the last batch of watercolors were small.
this new piece is the first one completed in the next series. these paintings are 15" x 20" watercolor and ink on hot press rag board.
close up so you can see whose peeking out of the Bure
the next bunch of pics are for KINNY. heres my "studio" I have different areas for different work. but this is my clean area where I paint.
my desk I love my vintage ratan desk!
my studio comes complete wth a cat
and a dog

***************Tiki Celinete News!!!*****************
For those of you attending Tiki Caliente this coming weekend. Tiki Lee's will be having some of my work for sale. He will have numerous original watercolor paintings in addition to prints and print sets. The print sets are an excellent value and contain 8 images! Most of the paintings available will be from the Oceanic series with a few pieces from last years 40 paintings for $40.00 . If you get creative with framing these little jems can make quite an impact. Heres some of what you can expect to see at the Caliente event
I have many larger paintings available as well as wood cut out pieces . Look for http://www.sophista-tiki.com to be published to the web any day now! hopefully I will be providing new pieces for Tiki Lee's on a regular basis and you can always talk with Lee about getting your Sophista-tiki Original
