Hey, at least the fireplace is safe. I was wondering what happened to it. Hopefully, if people can just keep these items in good shape, who knows. Maybe in time if the Tropical Bistro does well they'll expand

and in time (hopefully a year or so), you will see the restored fire place as the center piece for a small but fabulous home tiki bar.....and it'll be surrounded by many of the decorative elements of that palace....There will be some kind of special tiki events/worship after it's completion....and i will post progress as it occurs.....there will be a beautiful Mystery Girl (at least I can't figure her out !) ...present for such occasions ! Aloha

Here is a cool rendering of the Kahiki.
It was once used on a box of Kahiki matches.
The one on the box of matches was in color.

Ok here's something new.
These are two of the Otto von Stroheims Tiki news Bon Voyage Kahiki last night party posters.
See Otto's take on the party here.
http://www.tikinews.com/kahiki.html
I think this was Don Tiki first gig on the mainland.
The first one is by dirty donny.
This is the program for the event.

Yeah, I was asking because of the price on the one up now. Is that a normal price?
By the way I really appreciate all the help I've been getting. I really feel welcome here

I have seen that lower. So I don't know.
My dad put it best something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Here's other views of the candle holder.

That candle holder was never used at the Kahiki. looks right, but Linda says no. I can see why. Easy to tip over. I was shocked that it is going for more than the vintage ashtray just went for. $77 is cheap for that ashtray which you can see on the table in the luau postcard. You just never know. Bid and hope.

I was not sure about whether that candle holder was used at
the Kahiki or not. Thank you Linda.
Thats one thing I like about the Kahiki. They had A LOT of stuff.
I don't think we will ever see it all.
That is why i'm putting the ebay stuff here.
For reference.
Oh, and Swanky I just got that ashtray for $12.00 bucks!
