Congrats on reaching 200, don't you think it's time to start a new thread? Makes it easier to load for the folks who don't have broadband, also it will make you look less significant, you know we don't want peeps getting the idea that you have been around since Adam and Eve! NOT really Buzzer, I think you should shoot for 300 then 400 as I don't think Anyone has done that yet. Go for it.
Meanwhile get that Maori done a bit quicker.

I think your next post will bring my thread to page 200

Buffy would beat Chuck, then I would let her beat me.

Crap. I wanted to start page 200 with more snotty Bowana thread hijacking.

Well, congrats on your first 200 pages, Buzzman.
Looking forward to stinking up a few more of your next 200.

#1 Yo Benz! It don't make no difference how many pages I have because on TC you can only look at one page at a time.Besides, those dial up guys get what they deserve for being luddites. I want to leave all my past up there. I like having all my pages in one spot. Shows my history, kind of like my face does. All the wrinkles, scars, and ugly there to see since day one!
#2 It took 3 years and three weeks for me to get to 200. Now that I'm warmed up, I'm going to pick up the pace a bit. I'll knock down a hundred more in a couple months. Fer sure!
#3 Only YOU have more pages. I think I'll set my ambitions a little lower. Maybe I'll try to surpass Tiki Finds first.

#4: One coat of spar done today:

I had to move my work area down wind from the big guy today. the breeze was pretty strong and I didn't want the dust I was stirring up by working to stick to the wet varnish. Usually, I'd do the varnishin my garage, but the tiki is too big to get in there. so I moved into the east part of the yard for the day. Here we can see the first few cuts on fake drum table #1 at my new and temporary yard work station.

Here's where I stopped on it today:

Removal of the material inside that triangle sucked to do.

I'll probably try to get the second one this far tomorrow.

1 thanks BD! I really like this guy. He has a certain presence about him.
2 Seems to never be enough time for what we want to do with all the need to do stuff that comes up. You should win the lottery. That's what I'm going to do. I just want to wait until the jackpots get a little largerbefore I win . I wouldn't want to waste a good win on anything under 40 million.
3 I have to admit I haven't really ventured that far inland in my time here on earth. I did go to an airport in Texas on my way to Belieze one time. I remember that the French fries at bthe Wendy's were really good. You guys ever go to the airport just for dinner?

No fireworks! They scare all the dogs in PB,MB, and OB, as well as pollute the pollution in the bay.

Wow page 200! Buzzy I thought you were keeping all your carving pictures on your post in the Test Messages Area? I think you have around 330+ photos there?? I find it's easier to check your work out there, It gets past all the comments and right to all that hard work you've done and continue to do.. But obviously you don't get there to often cause you don't answer the questions left for you. : Well it goes to show you where I spend my days, in the Beyond Tiki, Bilge, Test forums.

Thanks for 200 pages of TC entertainment, Buzzy.

(Hey Boris. My estimate was off a little. It was only seven. )

Several weeks back, Cammo and I checked out the posibility of turning an island in Mission Bay into a tiki island. We did a recon run to see if it was possible.

Today we took the island in the name of TIKI!

I snuck the tiki down to the beach while Cammo was setting up the tiki ferry. We had Cammo's mom look out for the fuzz for us. The island is straifgt in the background

The plan was to keep her on the beach as a spotter while we rowed across the channel. You can see the SeaWorld tower in the background of this picture

Moments before shoving off. So far, the coast was clear(literally!)

Cammo has some pictures of the ride over, so stay tuned

Here we are at the landing spot, hidden in the back side of the cove

We found the ideal spot and dug it in

Looks good!

I made it so that it is facing my house. You can see my house on the hill. It's the one with the tiki in the yard:

Closer view from the tiki's vantage point. My house is pretty much dead center

We ended up putting it up next to the native palms to help it blend in to the natural environment

The island is just outside of a bird preserve. One of the birds came over to check out his new neighbor

Polly likes his new perch:

And finally, a view from my carving area of the island with the tiki on it:

Tree on left, tiki on right, the bird is sitiing next to the tiki....

You guys should stop by my tiki island when you are in the area...

Should I put my island in Locating Tiki now?

More on this from Cammo coming soon...
Buzzy Out!

Today was the most fun I've had in quite a while.
Which either proves:

It was a lot of fun.

or

Cam doesn't get out a lot and it was no fun at all.

But I THINK it was a lot of fun....

Canoes are designed to hold Tikis.

See?

If I knew all about making those animated .gif players this would make a great series. You'll just have to imagine it. Or somebody can go to a LOT of trouble to make it animate:

Here it is on its new home,

Here On Buzzy's ISLAND!....

Don't these look like those 1960's postcards?

Heck, lets give it a try!

So we found this bird sleeping. It was REALLY tired.

Buzzy shook it a few times and it wouldn't wake up it was so tired.

So Buzz tried to find a better place for it to rest.

Finally it woke up and looked around.

Here's the Tiki from the landward side, it's disguised pretty good as a dead palm tree.

And some more postcards for the Buzzy fans out there.
We're going to contact the City Planning Department and get them to name the place Buzzy's Island, for real. It may work when they see the postcards.

The bird just wouldn't leave, so it's in all these shots at the lower left.
