Great seeing you and the lil' lady on Saturday night! Keep up with the sketches! They not only improve skills,but you get a huge collection of painting ideas for FREE!!! I peeked at that huge platter you painted and it is a thing of beauty...

Thanks man....great show this weekend....and I the more I think about it the more I agree every artist should do their own "Revelation" painting! again...yours was simply amazing...please box up and send to my address.
If I come to your studio and you're serving cheese and crackers off that platter there will be hell to pay!

well after many hours of digging through images and photographing work...the new website is up!!! Stop on over and check it out. Still sorting out the bugs, but online ordering should be up and running by the end of the day too. Swing in and sign the guestbook!

PALE HORSES ROCKS! and the Laughing Little Bastard is my favorite carving! Spiffy! Well worth the small fortune you put into it! Great seeing ya yesterday!

Really diggin the work you're doing on plates these days!
The whole calavera thing has really inspired ya!
Bring that one next art jam and

I thnk if you distressed the back grond a bit and let a little of that silver poke through, that your platter would be that much better. In the meantime it is still a great piece.

I concur... I spent a great deal of time covering every inch of material with paint but at some point just let go and started working back into the surfaces. Lately, I seem to hit everything with various grades of sandpaper, steel wool, abrasive pad, or buffing compound. Granted, I love the "splatter FX" (heck I splatter, drip, and speckle) but there is just something sublime and organic about distressing. Just let go and feel it!
