Man 4WD, your place must be Crawling with Cool Tikis, how many now a Dozen or more. Quick and Excellent, you need to get together with Buzzy and have a friendly competition to see who can make the most in a day. And Then donate the tikis to your favorite charities..ME!!

Thank you all, for the compliments and encouragement!
Here's a pic of a tiki I did last summer, and has been hanging around waiting for a new home. It found one over the weekend! The two local outrigger clubs decided to merge into one, and wanted a tiki to commemorate the occasion. They had me carve the names etc into the base. I only had about a day to do it, but it came out alright I think. Thanks to Clysdalle for lending me the V-chisel. With the tiki money, I will buy my own, I swear!
Tiki stands 6'6", and is local fan palm.

This is my tiki from the May Chop in Temecula. It's not done yet, but I like the way it looks after I burn and sand it. I still want to put some tattoo type designs on the flat parts, and I need to cut in some teeth. But this is the most I've had to show in a week or two.

This garage pic is for you, Ben.
Hmm, seems my camera's date reset to default! I took this pic today, I swear!
Hewey, Thanks for the props! I'll try to carve more! It's funny, back when the days were short and it would be dark at 5:30, I would tell myself that I couldn't wait for the sun to set at almost 8PM, so I could carve for hours!

Sunset at my house tonight: 7:39 PM. I managed to work until close to 8.
Howz them details coming?
Or did you take a nap after work?
You could always carve in the living room. The extra productivity would more than make up for the loss of the security deposit.
I like the green jade inlays on most of your tikis' heads.
Buzzy

I carved this one the other week, and just finished varnishing it today.
If it looks familiar, someone wanted a copy of this earlier tiki. How'd I do?
I started and finished this one today. I'm really into the primitive basic look lately.
It's related to this one from a week ago or so.

Great work 4WD....I think that the old crumbly one you did a while back (last pic) would look real choice hiding in the bushes at Babalu's Casa...maybe we can hash out a deal of some kind at the next Chop?
