This update responds to my question! I imagine the difficulty of the work when the wood has dried. But I think, in view the pics, that you have a significantly higher level to meet the challenge, it is clear that your hand with a gouges is provided and accurate.
I like the raw surface, it shows the mastery of the work by hand and also to the sharpening... I would like to see it more closely!

no i haven't seen the little frogs you are talking
about. If you haven't seen may Indian poles check them out some have frogs hidden everywhere.

did I said that this pole is soooo coooool, I always liked the style of these totem poles, they aged really nice and the cuts are beautiful, again great job.
