Let's run a T1 line in and the Island will rise! And then sink... But it will rise again! And then..., well, that happens every day, really.
Mahalo for the shout-out, AtomKitty. Maybe someday...

Great ideas, but I know for a fact the Tonga Hut does not have Broadband. . . Just Art. . . and Music. . . and Booze. . . and an old Tiki or two. . .and a Fountain. . .
Isn't that enough for you people!!!!
Seriously Ojitimo, I know your heart is in the right place and I appreciate your enthusiasm!
Personally, technology just gives me the willies. I do not understand it's VooDoo.
I know the wonderful folks at Yo Yo's Island have been itching to do a techie-tiki event . . . you guys should team up and wow us all with your interwebby cybertiki genius!

Great idea Atom Kitty!
Don’t worry about the Voodoo tech stuff. Just do that Voodoo that you do so well!
We can handle the tech stuff and get internet in there. Son of Kelbo and I will bring a side dish if you make the drinks.
SOK
I can work with you but not that jerk with the cigar.

By the size of him, I fiqure we could make enough dip for at least 100.
I say we take up a advance collection for a wireless access at the Tonga Hut.
T-1, cable, DSL, any of them would do. redeemable for say a Voodoo Priestess and a bowl of Smoked Clam Dip.
Smoked Clam Dip
Ingredients:
8 oz can Smoked Clams, drained and chopped
8 oz pkg Cream Cheese, softened
2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
dash Tabasco Sauce
1/2 cup Olives, chopped

[Timo, we should trade pings in PMs, as I don't think there was an "official" overture about including YoYo, just a very neato notion. Let's check our clearance, Clarence.]
[And, your recipe proportions are way too low for a 180+ lb. clam...]
Meanwhile...

GROG been without computer 3 or 4 days. GROG just got computer back from shop, and check in to see what kind of damage you guys have done. Doesn't look TOO bad. Without Kinny posting on here, it's amzing how much more civil the thread is. That Doug Horne is trying to stir up trouble, though.

Squirrel damage can be prevented by eliminating the presence of the squirrels.
Easy? Not really! Exclusion is one technique. If exclusion doesn't work, you may want to try repellents. Naphthalene(moth balls) may temporarily discourage squirrels from entering attics and other enclosed spaces.
A cat in the attic or on the premises may discourage squirrels and/or provide supplemental feed for the cat. Baiting can be used as a distraction to catch or club the varmints.
Of course the surest method and most fulfilling is stewing. Squirrel stew can't be beat! The good news in many areas there is no legal bag limit.
Squirrel Stew
~ 3 squirrels, cleaned and cut up
~ 1/4 cup all purpose flour
~ 1 teaspoon salt
~ 1/2 teaspoon pepper
~ 2 slices bacon
~ 2 tablespoons butter
~ 5 cups of water
~ 1 - 28 oz can whole tomatoes
~ 1 chopped onion
~ 1 heaping tablespoon of brown sugar
~ 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
~ 1 - 10 oz package frozen lima beans
~ 1 cup frozen corn
~ 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
Combine 1/4 cup flour, salt and pepper. Coat the squirrel pieces.
In a Dutch oven, combine bacon and butter over medium heat until butter melts. Add squirrel and brown.
Add water, tomatoes, onion and brown sugar and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove squirrel pieces and let cool. Remove meat from bones.
Add meat, potatoes, beans and corn to Dutch oven. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender.
Mix 3 tablespoons of flour with 3 tablespoons of cold water, then stir into stew. Heat to boiling.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, bubbly.
Serve with warm rolls and enjoy!
