That was really fun yesterday!
Thanks to all of you who popped by yesterday!
Bong-thanks for providing the ambiance,musical wizadry, and comedy...

Kevin and his kids!
Ben's Brother!
All the people who i didn't know who came in!
All the people who asked "Where's the puppies?"
Bifachu,Riptide,Roxy,Mike, and Stafford for bicycling down!
GROG and Squid for driving by and flippin me off...
(they stopped by after their visit to a "leather goods" store)
and brought me a giant pixi stick and a Twix with java
also a real cool LOVE dove that i will transform into a Hawaiian Warrior!

and how could i forget Scott and Jen?
(easily,i suppose!  )
also a big hug and thank you to
Soccertiki and WooHoo and Ojaitimo
for poppin in and buying stuff!
Despite the fact i wasn't left with any change
i rounded stuff up and down!
And i learned something new yesterday....
7.75% is our Sales Tax! YAY!
Sold 2 Bars,15 or so feet of matting for some gentleman's bathroom,
a mug,and 2 paintings! YAY!
Assistant Manager here i come!
Well, sad to say folks...but all the puppies are gone...
Some Chinese Chef,and a guy in a lab coat
bought them all before the shop opened.....
They said they would "take care of them"..
and they looked like Honest Blokes!
Anyways....11-4-ish
I'll be there..painting,giggling,helping bars into cars...
so pop on over and say "Aloha"!
I got a wall full of paintings
and also a bunch of folders full of drawings....
In fact..here's two new ones!

While LLT was hard at work, or hardly working.....
The Boo Tribe did a lil' Cave Inn.......
The pic below...in the center...that split boulder was our target.
We only went into it about 2-300 feet. It goes another 2-300 feet. Next time fo' sure.
( you have to lower yourself into a 15' drop about 16" in diam. to get in.)
Anyone see Tiki Faces in Strange Places???
( too tired to find that other post....
Now off to the shop to check out the damage!!
Someone needs to get LLT a cell phone!!!!!

Looks like everyone had fun!
Totally bummed I couldn't make it! But my weekend was filled with movin to my new place...I never realized how much crap I really had till yesterday, WAAAAH!

And speaking of Rats......Thanks for breaking the rules while I was off helping a customer!

Anyways..yesterday was much mellower than Saturday...
had Kevin/KahunaKevin? kevin Kahuna?
a Brand new 2-month old TCer who popped in the morning for a visit and a chat!
Then Ojaitimo,this guy Luke(?) with some tiki tattoos,and TikiBong popped in for a spell...
Sunday was definitely a mellow day! So mellow i got lot's of painting done on the painting
that i originally started for mModern/worked on a little at the Chop/then dropped it til
this weekend.....IAnd yes Bill......i DID run out of ZipFizz! but the wifey just got me another case yesterday!
JUST IN TIME FOR HUKILAU!!!!!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzz-ZING!
Anyways,Boo and Mrs. Boo stopped by as i was closing up on Sunday and were pleased that the shop was still standing.....
GOOD NEWS!
Ben asked if i'd like to keep the art up on that wall until July 1st.....
So it'll be up there until july 1st if you missed it......
But forget that stupid wall-come for the ambiance!
Come on down just to gawk at the beautiful lamps hanging from the ceiling...
Or the hand-crafted bars/stools/and shelves....
Or the Books of photos of past installs and creations......
Come on down to witness the Creations of a man who LIVES his Art!
Whose Blood is Budweiser and has limbs of the strongest bamboo!
Anyways........

LLT is "Our First Visiting Artist of the Month!"
Never before in the history of the Bamboo Ben Store have we done this.
LLT has a wall of goodies for the entire month of June.

That little ELF must be practicing for the next writers strike
coming up!!! I actually laced all the tools with a time- release poison that should be taking effect just about now. Good luck with that Hi-Jinx-Ers! There is no antidote!

What a cool place you have Ben and all the history. I love places that are like a museum like this. Beautiful work.
LLT, your art is incredible to see in person, photographs don't do them justice!
