Jim, what can I say?! Even when you are not the man of the hour, you are in high demand, it's hard to get next to ya!
Thanks Kinny and Rory and the Light Gallery and everyone else for putting this on...before this I had only seen Rory in pictures, I didn't recognize him until he put his glasses on! So clean-cut without the Hunter S. helmet on!

Amy and I had a wonderful time....Thank you all!
It sounds like the Wild Dude is going to post work...here's what my camera saw:
Kate getting all giddy over her first hickey from a mug.
Me kickin it with Danny...Danny and GoGo ROCK!
Eye candy...
Tiki red light district:
Those crazy girls and their mugs -
I made a little goodie for that Hip Lady for being so nice as I procrastinate away on her Paradise Bowl.
Peace!

Much Thanks to everyone who came through for the TIKI FREAKoout! I was looking forward to this evening for awhile because I know what a fun bunch all of you are, And how much timeless style you guys bring to the spot.. For some reason I'm always left feeling a little saddened the day after a show is over.. Like something I've been working at for weeks has come to an end.. but worry not we'll get to do it all over one more time for the Tiki FREAkout closing reception in August!! In the meantime we're working on putting together a very special intimate event with the artists, where you can have the opportunity to see them do what they do best! (no, I can read your mind.. it's not gonna be THAT kind of intimate!)
I'd like to sincerely thank each and everyone of the artists who contributed to the exhibit, and all of the time and energy you guys put into making our walls come alive. It's your efforts that have really helped bring life to the Light Gallery! And to all the loyal fans, it's your support that helps the Light Gallery put on these exhibits and showcase these often underappreciated talents for a wider audience. All the while allowing us to do what we love, bringing together all of you for a sensory stimulating experience! We are still busy at work around the gallery, building the Ark of our dreams. Stay Tuned! Ideally the synergy we create working together will allow us the freedom to quit our day jobs and create something new daily while we sail off into the eternal happy hour sunset.
A big shout out to anyone who has offered advice, shared a laugh, provided inspiration, and lent a hand or an ear. To Big Tiki Dude for setting the vibe with his far reaching vinyl collection. To our bartender Nibbler for the hangovers and bad jokes. To our mayor Ruzic for his otherworldly skills and advice, while keeping me in check. To BToe for his help bringing more talent aboard, and getting the word out. To Wildsville Man for advice, helping me stay organized, and helping coordinate everything so my my head didn't explode. To each and everyone of you for your participation, and your patience..
I haven't uploaded my pics of the evening yet to our Flickr account, but here are some pics from
944 magazine's coverage to hold you over

Cheers,

Wow! I didn't see that particular baboon the other nite.
Where's the "vapor" hole? lol!
I'd have a better picture of the blowhole explaination but
Rita's got a groovy foot photography thing going right now.
Pretty sure thats Ken, Dave and Kate.
Great seeing your stuff up close, Babalu.
Glad we were able to bring our better halves too.
We can't stop talking about that bug eye'd rabbit.
Sorry for not recognizing you without the top hat.
__
more pics
Suspiciously the feet have all been removed... something's afoot.
Hoped Kenny might insert a giant floating GROGDOZ head in the air for me.
Some of the neatest stuff was in the crowd too: Dani's too cute for words bracelet, necklace & earing combo...
and Chris' honu sportcoat. Did you really tell me you put the company out of business making that coat?

if any of you had those 3-D "They Live" glasses at the Reception
they would have seen this horrible tableau
playing out before their eyes!
Thank your Lucky Stars you can't see inter-dimensionally!
Looks like Hank took a shot in the mouth for the team!
