DOGBYTES: You take amazing pictures!! Thanks so much for posting all of them, and thanks the
most for posting no pictures of myself and the wife. People always are saying "Didn't I see your
picture at the Post Office or something?", so it's best to have little photographic evidence. By the
way, I have some great new Franciscan dishes!

A few of my pix
An epic journey requires a new air freshener.
The open road. Southern Alberta, south of Calgary near Pincher Creek.
Cranbrook BC. Gary (Tiki A. Moaikingbird) packs up.
Northern Idaho is moose country.
Horseshoe sculpture.
Meandering Moose Motel
Mangy Moose Cafe and RV Park.
The Barber Ship, Bonner's Ferry, Idaho:
Spokane, WA:
Mary Lou's Milk Bottle, home of...
old fashioned milkshakes. I had a huckleberry shake...
Gary's pumpkin pie shake was like drinking a pumpkin pie.
Cheeseburger & mac salad.
Garland Theatre
Ellensburg WA: Thunderbird Motel.
More to come.

Saturday. Dawn & Woofmutt's ITD Yard & Art Sale.
Woofmutt sets up. I snagged "The Night Visitors" and Gary snapped up "Sleeping Plank".
dogbytes pouting because we beat her to them.
Tikiwahine
Art by Sophista-Tiki.
Vintage ice cream box (sans ice cream)
Vintage shirt from the collection of Selector Lopaka.
Browsing at Fantagraphics in Seattle's Georgetown district. We take advantage of their sidewalk sale to pick up some slightly substandard copies of The Mischievous Art of Jim Flora for half price.
Vespas
Former Rainier brewery.
Tiki faces in strange places.
Canadians at Bellevue liquor store.
Happy hour @ Trader Vic's.
Zombie.
Alan & Peter(s).
Monkeyskull's Voodoo Lounge Party:
Snacks.
Gary & bartender Jennifer.
Moai fountain and koi pond (wonder what they thought about the colored lights and dry ice?)
That's about all the snaps I took at Monkeyskull's ITD party so it's a good thing dogbytes was there with her camera.
More to come.

Sunday.
Americans seem to like biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
Iggi & Jesse
A quick trip to Trader Joe's, home of 3 buck Chuck.
Chowing down at dogbytes' Rongorongo Room Recovery Brunch.
Chillin' in the Rongorongo Room with Mr & Mrs Dogbytes and Puamana.
A low energy kind of day.
Puamana enjoys one of Trader Pup's stories.
Monday.
Breakfast at Endolyne Joe's in West Seattle before heading out on the road. Haupia cakes (cornmeal and coconut pudding flapjacks) with strawberry coulis.
Special decor for Hawaiian festival.
Yes, the booze and gasoline are cheaper in the USA, but in Canada the air is FREE! (so far).
Lunch in Spokane at Frank's Diner.
Creepy dining companion.
Newly restored Fox Theatre, former art deco movie palace now home to the Spokane Symphony. Downtown Spokane has many beautiful historic buildings.
Spokane Chronicle Building.
Davenport Hotel.
Back in Cranbrook, this is my best thrift find:
Trader Vic's Hawaii seahorse mug for a buck!
That's all.

Another thing that's cool is everyone was totally comfortable bein' around the Canadians. For the most part they seemed just like ordinary human beings. Of course none of us had cats around so that wasn't an issue. Also: All of us Americans had agreed ahead of time to avoid any talk of moon worship, TV dinners, or video hockey. It went just great.
As long as you take a few precautions before hand there's nothing to fear from visiting Canadians.

Yeah, us Canucks are Mostly Harmless.
Although you may not realize that whenever your back was turned, we were talking about you in 'Canadian', between bites of cleverly-concealed bacon jerky and smokies (which sustain us)…
