Hey Pikeys Dog! Gracias!
I'm not sure if I got the names of the birds right. We need an ornithologist!
How exotic is England lately?
What's the meaning of your nickname?
Aloha amigo.

From Luis Bunuel's 1951 film "Subida al cielo"
Shriners on tour
Going into a Mexican rancho party "poor but clean"
Bienvenidos! Magnifico they say
Taking notes on what seems like a moleskin
Crazy gringo trying to buy the guy's hat
The first one is not selling, so another one offers his
Same gringo loco doing some field studies
andale andale arriba arriba yepa yepa!!!!!!!!
Shriners rocking the house
Sweet senoritas galore!
I think I'm going to make a painting with this theme...

Two frames I missed to post...
Our capitalistic friend implementing the principles of merchantilism in a simple society.
Shriner says: "I don't want yours, I want his" (then walks away not buying any of the two hats)
What was Master Buñuel trying to say?
Clap your hands and say AJUA!!!
The shriner is not really a dancer, but he is really tring and the locals apreciate that. (He get points with la muchacha.)

Last Friday I went to see Los Twin Tones and Daddy-O-Grande.
Amazing band.
One of the most impressive gigs I´ve seen in ages.
I suppose that a band from Mexico playing songs about Almeria desert is exotic enough for this thread.
Great cover by Dr. Alderete for his last CD and their "Invasion Mexicana" European tour.

Hey! I thought my last post here was cool enough for a reply or two... oh well, business as usual...
Maybe this rare picture of Jakie-O saluting the aztec godess of the underworld will get you going... Sometimes I wonder... Why I even bother?...

Dusty amigo,
I don't know if there was any Tiki at the Hotel Palacio Tropical Acapulco and I can't tell from the picture in the ad,(Sorry for not scanning the picture, I am away from my Tiki research lab. right now) but I think there was. Those "Exotic Kon-Tiki gardens" sound very intriguing to me...
Probably we will never find out. We will have to let the mystery be.
