Hand carved maple, stained varnished from a raw handle of a N° 8 Opinel folding knive







Then some new framed carving from pine:

Salut Jérôme,

I register 2 years ago on tiki central but for some reason did not really post or comment anything. I came back to it recently and discover your post....Well, so nice to see so many good work, can not comment on anything in particular as everything is done with talent and good spirit.
Congratulations and keep up the good work.
One thing, I wanted to ask, where can I find any informations on tiki vibes apart from facebook....I know I could register but I am against it....

Hello Tiki Central!
Some news from over the pond...


Our last exhibit in the french west coast it now finished. Here the pics of the pieces what I've finished just in time:



First, the Tekoteko:




Finally done!


Carved from prunus, paua shell and grenadill for the eye, bone heru



Then, a larger Hawaïan style tiki



Carved from willow


The second of squared moai:

Carved from plane and beech.
This guy have already a new home in Connecticut!


For the opening of the exhibit, there were two evening concerts in a bar, I made a part of the decorating with some styrofoam Tiki masks:


Carved with a fish knive...

Back from La Rochelle, I had fun customizing this shift knob was given by my friend Nikko:

V shapped gouge for engraving...


...for Kowhaiwhai inspired pattern


Eye made from corian, paua and ebony


Some paint and patina


And it's done :






Now, cleaning and store the workshop for a larger project:
