Mai Tai. I make a self-styled "updated" version using half light rum (10 cane) and half dark rum (whatever is on hand...tonight, Pusser's -- adds a smoky note...first time trying this particular combo -- it's great with Appleton 12).

Love the Voodoo Priestess! Need to whip up some more spice syrup. Finally hunted down passion fruit syrup locally, so I'm mixing up some Reverb Crash this evening!!!!! Also picked up some Goslings, so might have a Dark 'n Stormy as well.

Rum Barrel
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
3/4 oz. o.j.
3/4 oz. unsweetened Pineapple juice
3/4 oz. Alize passion fruit liquor
3/4 oz. sugar syrup
3/4 oz. dark Jamaican rum (I put 1oz)
3/4 oz. Bacardi 151 rum
mint, mint, mint
Shake with ice cubes and pour into ceramic barrel rum.
Yummy.....

The Grinch:
2 oz AppleJack whiskey
1/2 oz velvet falernum
1/2 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
2 dash Regans orange bitters
3 dash fees whiskey bitters
shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass with ice.
quite a tasty winter drink, has been requested 3 nights in a row by the wife.
