Gosling's Family Reserve Old Rum... in a snifter... waiting for Mrs. Bungalow as she readies to go to a Christmas party.

Keeping this thread alive and enjoying a special Tiki nog on Christmas:
"Coquito," which means "small coconut," is the Caribbean version of American eggnog. The recipe I used does not contain eggs but is still very festive:
6 ounces evaporated milk
7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
7.5 ounces Coco Lopez
4 ounces white or spiced rum (it turned out great with Seven Tiki spiced)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix well. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until chilled. Serve with a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg. Makes four servings.
Mele Kalikimaka!

Celebrated finding white grapefruit for the first time in forever with a couple of Jet Pilots.
Moved on to a modified Swizzle now with cinnamon syrup instead of simple syrup.
Delicious.

Just made my first scorpions, I had some champagne, and a lava lamp. It had me giggling. Happy New Year!

The Moruroa 1966 (Mark 1 Test Version)
3 semi-crushed ice cubes
1 oz. of Green Chartreuse (for the SuperMegaTonne Version, use 2 oz., but beware of the fallout (fall-over) factor...)
1/2 oz. of Pernod
2 oz. of Cointreau
2 oz. of pineapple juice
1 tablespoon of Tahiti lime juice
Coconut milk
1 radioactive sea snake (red gummy snake)
Place the ice, Green Chartreuse, Pernod and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker.
Stir
Pour stirred mix into a Pilsner glass
Add radioactive sea snake
Add lime juice
Float congealed coconut milk on top
Add palm tree swizzle stick

Mai Tai of course. 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice, 1oz Gosling's Black Seal rum, 1 oz Cruzan aged gold rum, 1/2 oz orange curacao, 1/2 oz Trader Vic's orgeat, 1/2 oz Demerara sugar syrup (made it myself) shake with crushed ice and floated 1/2 oz Lemon Hart 151 rum. Outstanding!

With over 3 inches of new snow and counting.. topped off the shaker with snow... 6oz. of apple juice and 1oz. of Amaretto... shook the piss out of it and the resulting slush is frankly amazing. Try it... you'll have to agree.
