you can't just say mai tai and leave it at that. you gotta describe the rums, the brand orgeat, how much lime, etc...

Oh, you know... Bacardi, Roses lime juice, almond flavored pancake syrup... the usual.
Actually, Appleton 12 yr, Coruba dark, Torani, Dekuyper curacao, half a lime... the usual.

Blue Hawaii, 1957 recipe from one of the Beachbum books.
I use Tommy Guns Vodka (comes in a M1921 Thompson submachine gun shaped glass bottle) in it, which is probably the smoothest vodka I've ever had and for the rum I used a pineapple/coconut rum for extra island flavor.

@gold zephyz ... nothing wrong w/a recession beverage sounds right up my alley. A family member of mine just shared this site w/me and she's obsessed w/mixing OJ in every cocktail she makes, she's hispanic, ecuadorian, and Hawaiian, don't think that makes OJ a given but she's been a tiki fanatic as far as I can remember & she's all about cocktails in tiki mugs and hollow coconuts but most importantly rum oj and whatever else, cheap/fast/easy! Ur drink sounds great to me! <3 and I love pineapples and pineapple juice <3
