Wow - amazing how you get these tiny little dudes to look like much larger carvings! The depth on these small pieces is crazy.

Ben, you can go from any material (jade, stone, sea urchin spine, wood), any size (giant to absolute tiny) and create THE MOST AMAZING work. I am always floored and inspired when I visit your thread. I'm glad to see you are feeling better and back to carving.
I love all your recent postings, but that lono is looking REAL nice.
Thanks for the updates!

Thanks Everyone!
Thanks Aloha, Yeah I'm just getting down to bidness and not much progress on other projects yet. Sooooon!
Annamari', Thanks actually I don't have much patience at all, but I get it done sometimes
LLT, Thanks for the props, It gets a Lot beter when I actually do some wirk
TheBigT, Thanks too. Really what happens is the Ancients come n at night and work on some of these so when they turn out good it's their workings! HappyHappy
Polly, Big Thanks, you make my head swell man, Stop it. (well don't really!) It's Mostly because I'm a tool junkie and different sizes and different media means different tools for each so I get to have more tools that way. Simple? Thanks for coming around again.
Look for more updates tomorrow!

Lookin' good as always!
Your carvings have so much life; like they would move if you stared at them long enough.

Wow, can you put this next to something else for a size comparison? This looks like another tiny piece? Is it made out of an old cue ball?

Looks pretty big for a Benzo-Karv....about the size of a toothpick?
I still don't know how you do it, but if I did know, then I would be
just like you, and we know that you are one of a kind.

Laojia, Sorry you're dyin' there I'll keep the temp down a bit here. The media is good old Bovine Shank bone, 24 inches.... NOT. He's now about3 inches tall and a traditional piece whom is new to me and was not as easy as he looked in THIS Photo: Especially to be pendant size. Thanks Lj.
Hey TikiPaka, How you Doin'?, No I Didn't use an Old Que ball, I used an Old cow bone picked up from the Pet Shop, Already cleaned and whitened and safe for dog ingestion anyway! I Suppose I could post it next to something so you could see how big it is then there would be no Surprise ,, But then I could be the good guy and ,, naww! Well since you asked so nicely

SOO It's Not a tiny piece and it's Not made from an Old Que Ball (btw if you run across any, Get them for me????)
Thanks TPAk
Thanks GMAN, he's made from the Steak machine leg.. Yes Challenging stance, I Love that shot.
Seeks!, Thanks Much, appreciate your 3 cents worth, He may not be a home run but he'll get there anyway Walkin' slow , 'cuz he be Tired.
Conga, Thanks for the encouragement, yeah he's a toothpick, for a Rhino maybe. C'mon down and I'll have you carving PNG Toothpicks in NO Time, so peeps can brag on you instead of me . We COULD be Like two of a kind... Kind of nuz!! Come ON DAAYOWWWWN!! O WAIT!!! WE'RE NUTS anyway!
Johnny, thanks for the kind words, yeah I've been holding back for too long and It's driven me stark raving MAD. The Thread really needs to be filled up again.
HAPPYHAPPYHAPPY JOY
Here are a few shots at various stages..

More later!
