and now, the BACK side of water!

We love tikis! Ooh-ah-ooh!
I had to bump this up again...it's my new favorite youtube clip...it is so bad that it is actually good! (The best moments being :44 and 1:36)
Spermy ruined me with this video. The song is stuck in my cranium. Now I need to go get it removed. Surgically.

I don't want to get this all revved up again, but I actually have a cd
of Fankhauser, and it really sucks. I have a huge cd collection of famous and
obscure 60s garage rock bands (Count V, The Litter, Seeds, The Brogues, The Sonics,
etc) and I picked up a copy of Merrell's Fapardokly because it was supposed
to be "essential." Now this guy was and still seems to be a hippie. But I agree
that the You Tube video is pretty funny. One of my co-workers (car dealership...
close offices) was actually strolling around singing the song.
Carry on now.

How sweet it is. Thank's man for sending me back there. Not Tiki, not surf, but as cool lounge as you can get.

Yesterday I played some Mickey Hart on my Dr. Zarkov's Tiki Lounge radio show, mixed in with some Bossa Nova and Hawaiian music with a Latin beat. Please feel free to post a comment condemning me for broadcasting "hippie crap" here: http://www.tikiroom.com/tikicentral/bb/viewtopic.php?topic=34639&forum=11&0

You da man, Zarkov! You won't get that "hippie music" thing outta me.
I listen to tons of percussion mixed in with my classic exotica, seems to fit
just fine for me.
p.s. checked your playlist...also really like that Ry Cooder/Manuel Galban cd...
lotsa cool stuff on that too!

Yer a funny guy Vigor....just about to leave work with a little smile on the

Mickey Hart drum ensembles.

I'd like to thank Mickey Hart and all you Hippies and Surfers who love all things Tiki for catching my wave and getting down with my book! I'm so stoked by it's success!!! I hope the tiki vibe stays strong in you. Remember: Tiki has always been the Patron Saint of Surfing - and Hawaii the Promise Land! http://www.bedtimestoriesforsurfers.com

I just watched "so you think you can dance", and they were playing a Mickey Hart song which I actually quite enjoyed. It did not sound hippy in the least, and was a darn sight better then that grateful dead tripe!

Thank you, Sir.
I haven't seen the show but I guess they used "frog dance" from the Planet
Drum "Supralingua" cd a few weeks ago. It's quite representative of all of
the Planet Drum or Global Drum Project music.
