That's cool Amy,I have to say I am a Smoothie Affectionado myself, I like Jamba Juice smoothies
but kind of hate going there, it is always full of Uber Yuppies where I live, fresh out of the Gym
who like to eyeball people in vintage Hats & Hawiian shirts or oldschool Punk Rock T-Shirts (My daily mode of dress)
Orange County is sort of sucking for any real individuality, these day's. (End of mini Rant!)

I find if you talk like "Clint Eastwood" when you order food, you get your order quick & accurate
it's also great for getting those pesky neighborhood kids off your lawn.

I know- Jamba Juice is so weird! We always try and make the cashier laugh because we know their job kinda sucks. Here it's moms with screaming kids.

We did learn how to make a good smoothie by watching, though. Using pre-crushed ice and frozen fruit is definitely the way!

I'm proud to say the nearest Jamba Juice is 70 miles away!

I know most people prefer gas ranges for some lame reason but you just can't beat a glass top electic for ease of cleaning!

I have lived in all electric homes almost all of my life. We live in the sticks, there is no natural gas available and I don't want to mess with a propane tank. We have an electric range, electric water heater, electric clothes dryer, electric heatpump AC, electric ceramic kiln... I would expect GROG to cook over a fire but the rest of you COME OUT OF THE STONE AGE!!!!

You can make your family's life much brighter
You will find your work much lighter
It's as easy as can be when you live better electrically.
You can have your cake and you can eat it
Make life sweet it's hard to beat it
What a trill to be so free when you live better electrically!

Bonus for ATP, you get a cameo by the greatest president of all time - Ronald Reagan

Just off track a bit...
Went to L.A. yesterday,Stopped at the Farmers Market,Had Lunch at one of my favorite places "The Gumbo Pot"
for Cajun food, even brought back a "Muffaletta" for lunch today.

picked up a bottle of "Le Sirop de Monin" Premium Coconut syrup at a little gourmet shop for those "Painkillers"

stopped at Wacko/La Luz de Jesus Gallery and found a couple of rare Tiki farm mugs.
Then we had dinner at a great Little Chinese restaurant,Chi Dynasty.

Well this is a repeat meal I have posted before, but its slow tonight.

Huevos Rancheros, I like them with scrambled eggs so a bit of a change from the fried egg version.

So sad! I was randomly surfing around tikicentral looking for helpful images yesterday, and came across the Tiki-Kate thread. I had no idea.
Again, sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace at the Great Luau in the Sky.

How would you compare this to Coco Lopez?

Hey Swizzle,
The Coconut syrups are very sweet & have a more concentrated flavor, I recommend cutting back on the amount
you use of the syrup's compared to Coconut Cream (We are not talking about Coconut milk, which is not used in Tropical drinks)

I like the syrup's flavor better then the Coconut Creams (i.e. Coco Lopez)as a former Bartender,I only used the Coconut creams
in blended drinks like Pina Colada,Chi Chi's etc.

Trader Vics and many of the old Tiki Bars used syrups over Coconut creams.
But that said, availability of the Coconut mixers will dictate what you use.

Tonight the Tri-Tip roast came around again recycled as Machaca. Served with Sangria, Refried Beans and Special Quesadillas. An Imperial Valley specialty, Special Quesadillas are deep fried and puffy, like a jack cheese turnover (I used PEPPERJACK! ) They have been served at Mexican restaurants here for the 45 years I can remember, I'm sure they are served elsewhere by now - you can't keep something a secret this good for long!
