I'm still in the hospital, but it's starting to look like they've done all they can for me here. Hopefully, I'll be released in the next day or so, and I'll get to go stay with one of my sisters.
For those of you who don't know, I spent all of last year dealing with breast cancer. While we were spending all of our time making sure that it wouldn't happen again, the cancer was busy spreading to my liver. I'm on two different kinds of chemo at the moment, but they haven't been quite as effective as we'd hoped.
I wanted to thank everyone again for all of the kind thoughts and prayers. They are all greatly appreciated.
I'd also like to thank Ookoo, DawnTiki, dogbytes and everyone else who has come to visit me in the hospital. Thank you to the Bongofurys for the photos of The Case. They both cheered me up and made me burst into tears. And thank you Squid and Babalu for the mug. It's absolutely amazing.
I feel so lucky and so blessed to have found so many dear friends in this community.

Kate, we haven't met. Just traded a couple of PMs about Oooga-Mooga. I have loved your posts and I think you are one of the coolest people on TC. Someday I plan to make it out to California and meet some TCers in person and I'd love to have a cocktail with you. Get well soon!

So sorry to hear you have had such challenging health issues. Life is truly unfair. Sending best wishes your way for a win over the cancer. Stay positive and know you are loved by so many. I miss your posts too.

Hang in there, Tiki Kate, and keep fighting. I am a one year survivor of esophageal cancer, my last scan in November was clean. If I can do it I know you can too.
