NICE mugs Kinny! I hadn't seen some of these...choice brother.
I still have to put my hands on that one Oasis demo hanging platter you posted...there is still another level of stuff we need to add to it yet. It looks great as is though! I can't wait to see it in person. If you see squid, maybe you could pass it along? That might be one way of getting it down here?

Thanks Jason!
let's get Huell down to a Tiki Art Show!
get him liquored up and hear what he REALLY thinks about things...
I have a surfboard that's been awaiting for a while...
about time it became something!
Wendy...you are the sweetest!
i love having everybody and their art all in one place!
Kind of an Artist Colony of sorts....
Babalooooooooooooooo!
You are the MAN!
such range and depth and research
We'll get that platter to you SOON!
next time i can connive Squizz to visit
we'll tie it to the top of his ride!
Tucker's tikis-Mahalo man! That sculpture was a PAIN to paint!
it must've weighed 80-100 pounds! OOMPH!
Here's a New one that will introduce our loose theme of skeletons for this day's gallery entry....
"Late night walk"
Cel vinyl and paintpen on canvas
There's a step-by-step/brief tutorial on this piece
HERE!
http://www.tikiroom.com/tikicentral/bb/viewtopic.php?topic=19904&forum=18&start=2385&2397
here's the sketchbook entry
Here's the original character
this piece was for the TIKOT! Tiki Tarot invitation at the freaky boutiki gallery
the original blackline art
then i added some color and distress to it
"Death"
Sharpie and ink on board
private collection
in fact, here's that Skeletal moai inspired by this piece
Here's the card i got picked to create for the show
"Judgment"
ink,sharpie,and pencil on watercolor paper
but we still need to finish the skeleton theme!
Here's a logo i designed for my friend lennie's clothing line
Keep your eyes peeled for tees, girls!
and Men..What better present for the missus ,eh?
here's another concept that didn't get picked
very inspired by Posada,as you can see...
you never know...this may end up on tees too!
Speaking of tee-shirt designs
Dave's Not Home still has some of these available if you want one!
Cannibal King
Seeing we've wandered from the original subject matter of this week's entry..
let's just share some random stuff i've rediscovered...
Here's a submission for a group show
where the artists painted violins...
i guess they couldn't get over the clash of cultures
it was politely rejected..
so i turned to ROCK AND ROLL!
Also here's some vinyl stickers that have long run out...
and a t-shirt and bag graphic for the
Rell Sunn Menehune Surf Contest
Well that's it for this entry!
have a great day!
Hah!?

Hey Kinny, just perused your gallery. Came across the mug section, but there seems to be one missing! Otherwise, fabulous, brain-jarring work as usual!

Hey Jen!
Thanks for the visit,stranger!
And thanks for visiting the ever-growing gallery section!
One missing?
I think there's actually 2-3 that i need to track down..
There will be holes in this presentation
as i go thru 6 years of tiki artwork...
and the wheels of progress do move slowly...
But i promise to get every piece up here eventually...
If they're a mug-I'll add them to the mug post..etc etc
After perusing the thousands of folders these past few weeks
categorizing and checking off doubles....
i have found a few stragglers..
including a couple of shots of a lost Moai and his birdmen friends!
They are set aside and awaiting final photoshop examination...
Any of youse...
if you happen to have a good photo of some LLT work
that you haven't seen here
PM them to me
with title, because i can only remember so many titles
and plus, i'm in the trance state mostly while producing these...
right jymmy?
