hang10tiki thank you. That's a new style bowl and I'm so happy it worked out.

RVICTOR I plan to use the PINGO when I do your mug. He was so nice to share that with me. I'm getting closer.

=========================

The company where I purchase glaze recently stopped selling the small jars. I asked why and they said because once a week they had to add water or the glaze would dry out. I wish they had told me because I have been dealing with that for years. I have to dig out the glaze and put it in a larger jar, add water and stir and shake. It doesn't always work out.

The next Wish is for CY. It is a Kava Kava man lamp. CY will wire it and make a lamp shade.

I took the opportunity to photograph Dan too.

One last Dan and the man photo.

The new Rapa Nui mug. This one is for Moai Mike. First I coated all the carvings with black glaze.

I cleaned it up to make the lines sharp.

Then I used a flat grey Duncan Designer glaze over the whole mug. I'm hoping the black will show through.

Now I did another with a rocky top as if the mug was all carved from rock. I poured in the purple and left it for 30 seconds. I should say that first I sprayed these mugs with water so that the layer of glaze sticking won't be too thick.

Then I coated this whole mug with a grey IN glaze. The IN glaze is made to become thick in the carving lines to highlight them. Now I can see the difference.

When these dry I will clean the bottoms.

May you have a safe and fun 4th of July, Wendy

I did one more AP Sacramento Crawl mug. Available at the crawl to first come first to grab one in exchange or in addition to the regular grey/purple mug.

This Passion Fruit with a wave is for the home tiki bar of Jeffery Bannow. I started by glazing the yellow fruity inside the mug.

It took a lot of colors.

I then cleaned off enough that I could do a rim of white because the fruit has that layer.

Next I glazed the stem, leaves and dried leaves.

Then the wave.

I used some white Pingo glaze to make the water frothy.

Glaze goes where there is no resistance so it fills in the carved areas even when I try to keep it out. So I dig it back out after I've done all the layers (4) of the major glaze (purple).

I used a squeeze bottle to fill in the letters.

I kept it on it's back until it dried.

All Glazed And Posing.

Another wish on the way to the kiln, Wendy

That passion fruit with a wave is a really cool concept. I wish my brain worked like that.

hang10tiki, HopeChest the Wish List inspires everyone to think up these fun ideas. I hope I can keep going for a few more years. Just working 8 hours a day healed my hand. No more long days. But I'm getting closer to the end each day.

======================

Wish List #7 I'm actually shipping before I even post the finished photos. I am so lucky that people trust me.

I remembered to photograph one of the shelves when loading and

when it had cooled from firing. Both times I forgot the other shelf.

Dan carries the heavy trays inside for me.

He put them on the couch and I did an inspection. Those that passed got photographed and then shipped.

This is a special order for HEATH's wife.

This Hula Bob is for Bill and Kristen Beirerle

Brian Kat is a member of the Sacramento Ohana so he was able to come and pick up his King Diamond mug.

Here are the photos of Matt Tiki Man Willis's Fun Fake Elvis mug. He was also born in 1961.

This Kava Kava Man Lamp is for CY

This coconut Tiki Bob bowl is for Chippy.

The Mars Attacks mug. The glazing was insane to do but it all turned out OK.

I would love to have comments posted. You all bring a smile to my face. Thank you, Wendy

Wow, Wendy! That Mars Attacks mug is downright INSANE! Simply drawing and painting all that detail would be challenging--I can't fathom sculpting it as well. Bravo!

I'm also taken with the passion fruit mug. I'm kind of a nut for passiflora. Can't wait to see it completed!

They all look fab! ...but I could love hula bob like a child...that brings you drinks...and doesn't require attention only admiration Can you tell I don't have children lol

Yet again thanks for sharing and making me smile. Keep resting the hand and have a great weekend!

Prikli Pear and Piddersthecat two names that start with a P. How about that! With such nice comments as yours it will be hard for me to give this hobby up. I really just beam when I read these. Thank you both very much.

=========================

Update on Wish List #7

This very tall Tiki Bob bowl is for David Nelms aka Chippy.

It has a removable small Tiki Bob made on top to hold a flaming rum sugar cube.

I didn't center it too well for the photo.

Here I removed it to show the spotted interior.

======================

A lot of different glaze colors for this mermaid Robyn's mug.

Duncan CN glazes can be layered just like regular paint.

After touch ups and a second firing the mug is done and it's time for a whole bunch of photos.

=======================

The next two mermaid statues are for Robyn and HB Tiki.

I've tried to make the first mermaid look like Robyn. I made her favorite hair adornment with seahorse to make it work.

I've sure had a lot of fun projects this year and we are not done yet. There are so many to go I am shocked that I'm getting them all done. One day at a time.

Cheers, Wendy

Nice! I love how everything turned out.

It's funny, for some reason that King Diamond mug came to mind the other day; fun to see it all finished. Let alone doing the actual art work - I'm still having trouble just coming up with an idea as creative as all the wish list folks!

hang10tiki each time you pop up here it's like a visit with my friend. I was working on your mug last night. It needed some tiki tweaks and a second firing. Thank you for checking out my art and for the nice comments.

bamalamalu I enjoy looking at all the items on the Wish List too. I no longer have the space to keep them for a group photo. Posting on Gallery is as close as it gets. Thank you for your message.
