Primativa in Hi-Fi at PKNY is canceled tonight, Tuesday, August 30. Sorry, for the short notice. We are dealing with flooding issues from the Passaic River caused by Irene. Another crest is due tonight at 9:00 pm. This issue is not related to PKNY. PKNY is of course, open for business as usual.

We are back at PKNY tonight (Tuesday September 6), playing classic Exotica for your sipping pleasure.
After missing a week due to flood interference, I am extra looking forward to that tropical cocktail!
We brought back the new Jerry Sun LP from Tiki Oasis to lay on you, and inspired by
DJ Wendy O'Rourke, we also picked up a copy of The Fantastic Sounds of Eddie Baxter.

Would just so love it if you spin the exotica sounds on a Friday and/or Saturday, and post the details here! The City can really use some better sounds on the weekend, you know they love it...just sitting at the bar, having a good drink, listening to music that just suits the moment....a very rare treat on the pounding streets. Thanks, greenfire. We are not spinning Exotica in NYC on any weekends yet, but we are always looking for that opportunity.

Burlesque Festival Teaser Party party!
We’ll be spinning Now Sounds this Thursday at the Bell House for the
gorgeous purveyors of the Go-go. So if you are heading to the festival
this weekend, get your tropical mellow on first, with some Exotica and
Tiki cocktails tonight at PKNY.
All burlesque stars and go-go dancers attending will receive proper worship!

Tuesday October 11 Primativa in Hi-Fi presents a tribute to Juan
Garcia Esquivel! at PKNY and we want you to help show NYC's love for
the E-man!
Director Arturo R. Jiménez (from Mexico) is working on a documentary
on Esquivel! and his influence and the musicians, DJs and fans who
help keep his music alive. He will be attending our PKNY party
on October 11th to film footage of Esquivel! fans in a NYC bar
enjoying his music today.
Shooting is scheduled for 7:00 to 9:00 in the back room.
