One of things that Will and I discuss all the time (during Happy Hour) - is how people underestimate the strength of wood. Wood is very strong and is a material that humans have been trying to simulate for years - it is more resiliant than you may think. The really difficult thing is allowing your creative vision to dictate how you use the wood not the shape of the wood. There are times when the shape may accent the overall design (I know I'm very guilty of that), but to create a carving that looks nothing like a log is challenging. Carve Deep!!!

I'm 3/4 thru ruffing them out.
My plan is to get all of them to a level.
Then take all of them to the next level.
They'll come out the same, that way.
I'm a fearless man.
Ain't skeered.

I thought they were rolling pins until I realized there's only a handle on one end. Great work Will.

Grand Poobah I thought the same thing when I saw that pic.
Think how cool a staircase would look with those balusters & gigantic Moais at the landings like 4 or 5 ft tall. How bout if their eyes lit up to illuminate the staircase at night automatically as you ascend or descendin the dark.
Mike could you imagine what the cookics you rolled out would look like.

Fearless Will I love your last picture it shows the evolution of Moai going from one end to the other.
