You're welcome Hiltiki and it's fun to know there's someone tuning into the program from Reseda (which I recall was mentioned in a Tom Petty song)!

Happy New Year, Tiki Centralites!

Here's a link to the latest broadcast, which was (mostly) pretty mellow to help any listeners suffering from the night before

Hey Tikiphiles, this week's audio archive and playlist are ready to go!

http://pbsfm.org.au/node/52447

For me, the highlight is a very hip beat jazz version of the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale ... which includes a sexy witch with a twitch!

I better dig this. I was listening to a 78 of Jazzbeaux Collins doing 'Jack and the Beanstalk' just yesterday....

During this week's broadcast - we embarked on an East African safari before resting up in a latin lounge, enjoyed a magic carpet ride followed by some sultry swing, then finished up with a selection of midcentury jazz in the Ports of Paradise bongo lounge. Phew!

This week we started the program with a love dance from far-off Siam, a Japanese rumba, a tropical heat wave and some Cuban fire.

The audio archive and playlist are now available for "Oh, Lady Be Good"
http://pbsfm.org.au/node/54320 and there's a little bit of everything that you like ... classic exotica, latin lounge, sultry swing, primitive percussion, happy Hapa Haole (try saying that after a couple of cocktails )

During this week's program we found a sheltered cove and dropped anchor in Mombasa, Tokyo, Maui, Mexico City, New York, London and Trinidad.

We also said "Happy Birthday" to the wonderful composer and arranger Henry Mancini.

On Friday, we celebrated the birthday of the grandfather of jungle jazz, enjoyed some sweet sounds from Sid Ramin, a Hula Chant from Lani McIntire and an Organ Spectacular from Jack Malmsten.
