What is that line from the song? "Check in but never check out" And I agree, you really need to contact one of those home make over shows, and show them the before and after. And please keep those pictures coming, I am dying to see the rest of the house.

Zowee.
Great shots.
Looks like the kind of place I could stumble around in for hours.
And will.
Thanks for the shots - killer job.

You really have a beautiful place there, OnaTiki! It must feel great to take something and make it so much better.

Okay,
We finally got the interior pictures that everybody has been asking for. It's not quite as tikified as the outside, more tropical and relaxing.
Here is what it looked like in July 2001.
Looking into the living room. Complete with 8' round brick, ski lodge fire place. Where do you put the furniture?
Kitchen was all of 7'x7' wall to wall with 2 feet of counters on both sides. Love that picket fence!
The original wet bar/laundry room. This area is now our dining room. Laundry facilities have been moved to the garage.
Now the finished product....note we took out a few walls.
Front door at right.
Entry table with some "prized" tikis.
Same view as earlier without fireplace.
Mood shots....
Dining room
Same shot as earlier (looking into wet bar/laundry area)
And now the kitchen...
No more picket fence!
Stained glass aloha shirts in one of the skylight bays.
A close up on our newest arrival."Da Big Puka". It's a little something we picked up from a local carver on Oahu. Some of you may know his work
When we get the new bar and waterfall done we will post more pics.
Aloha

Wowwwweeee from Maui!! Great stuff, and this comes from a bona-fide redecorating fan. You guys rock, and of course the gen-yoo-wine Gecko pieces just add the best touch! If you're ever on Maui, drop me a line...glad to show you around. Ferget dat Gecko and overcrowded Oahu! haha! Geck, gimme a call soon...we miss you guys!
TQ

I've never seen the like before. Amazing! You are one dedicated and industrious family. If I get my home to look like even a fraction of what you've done with your home – I'll be a happy camper. Well, well done!

Awesome!
I really like how you painted the walls with that uneven edge of white/blue. Reminds me of the water and shore. Wonderful job!

T-Bird it was nice to meet you and the Mrs at Mr Tiki.
TikiQueen, we may be headed your way next May. Cross fingers.
Ren Tiki, thanks, you're the first to bring up the paint job. Dig your artwork also.
