Name:Hukilau Island Grill Type:restaurant Street:Corner of 15th & O Streets City:Sacramento State:CA Zip: country:USA Phone:(916) 444-5850 Status:operational
Description: A beautiful, colorful, spacious, airy tiki restaurant with a bar.
It specializes in Hawaiian cusine and follows through with names like \"Kona fries,\"Big Kahuna Chicken\" and \"Big Island Platter featuring Kalua pork.\"
The selections are extremely tasty and the servings generous.
The decor tikis on the bar and entrance. The dinning rooms feature very oversize Hawaiian prints from the 40s and 50s.
The menus have appropriated much of Shag's art, so are gorgeous.
Go at night for the tiki torches. The bar scene happens - apparently with SacState grads.
One drawback: many of its tropical drinks are premixed!

Yes to the good food and decor. No to the draft beers and sports TV. Really, I was quite pleasantly surprised by what a delightful time I had here. Hmmm.
