Nothing old or special. Found these at Home Goods. One is a PNG-ish shield, the other is an outdoor solar light I picked up a couple of years ago. I knew it was destined for the indoors so it stayed in a corner until finally getting a tapa covering over the white plastic diffuser and a light-rope pushed up inside.

Three old ones from the Portland area:
And some not so local ones:

This week, I got a few new matchbooks that I didn't have yet, and a few doubles I accidently bought:
These came from one lot that I was able to purchase only these highlights from. I've been hoping to find the San Diego DTBC for a while now
And a few more from another lot
I like the Tahitian Bali Hai one:
I had to buy a $10 big bag just to get that little stash. All I could see from the outside were the two Trader Vic's, so I took a gamble.
Last find: Glass with the word "Tiki" on it:
Buzzy Out!

Found the bowl on the right in a thrift yesterday. Detail is much nicer on the other bowl which I bought years ago at the Crowne Plaza during Tiki Oasis. Not vintage-marked “made in China:” For half a buck I’m not complaining.
Cheers

This week's stuff:
Giant PNG mask. About 33" tall (44" if you add the feathers on top and bottom), by 22" or so wide:
lots and lots of shells...
I think only 2-3 are missing
Signed, with the price tag of $840!
Price tag was from here:
melanisian arts
Info on the carver and this mask style here:
Kambaramba Village, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea
Here's kingstiedye holding it up for scale:
A pair of storyboards from Palau:
One had the story on the back
Most dangerous place to be at the swap meet on sunday morning was the laser straight line between myself, this Maori lamp, and the seller:
You could have got trampled to death and not even slowed me down a single pace...
Solomon islands fishhead faced guy with seahorse sideburns carving, and a pair of Tahitian mini tikis:
marked Tane on one:
Handled mug with some printed company promo logo on the back:
Big stack of postcards. Highlights
Two Tahiti ones with stone tikis
My favorite is the Solomon Islands topless one, with the two figural carvings next to them:
Looks like the male figure is peeking at the dancers!
And a little collection of topless wahines from around the pacific:
There were about 70 more that I got of island women who left their tops on, dancers, and other pretty island scenes...
Buzzy Out!

Back to working weekends
So no estate or yard sales for a while
Started with about 6 thrift stores
Huge...
Then I was lucky enough to find a guy that wanted to unload all his Tiki stuff
Lastly

Found at a thrift today. “Waikiki Calls” was a production (show) about Waikiki that ran for six years in the 80’s at the Waikiki shopping Plaza which I think is still in operation.
Cheers
