Yeah Hang10 my wife is getting good at finding, But then you have been finding lots.
She will get most of the money anyway if/when we sell it, heck it's all our money at this point.
I had stopped looking for mugs as we have too many and you don't find good ones that often.
The Frankoma glazes are awesome!
Good Luck Hunters!

That Frankoma sticker is the first I've seen too. I'm going to send your photo on to Joniece Frank and see if they made them for an anniversary. Congratulations. Please contact me if you decide to sell it. Wendy

tikiskip I just got off the phone with Joniece Frank. She said the sticker was for Frankoma's 40th anniversary of being in business. The year was 1973. I asked her is they went on every piece of pottery made that year and she said no that it was hit and miss. They made some stickers and if anyone thought about it they would grab one and stick it on. It's possible that your War God is the only one that got the sticker because so few War Gods were made.
Again Congratulations, Wendy

Not only a War God, but a Cultured Pearl model to boot. That's a great find! Just goes to show that there are still some treasures out there if you keep your eyes peeled.

That is wild stuff, Thanks Wendy for the info.
You think all there is to know about tiki has been said and then new stuff pops up, to me that's the fun part.
I don't know if you have done this yet but have you documented all info you can get from Joniece
about their tiki mugs for tiki history sake?(like how many of each different styles did they make?)
Why the name Frankoma?
We are all getting older and stuff like that gets forgotten.
Maybe you Wendy need to start the Frankoma thread here on TC.
Just added...
The name Frankoma was created from Frank's last name and the last three letters of the state of Oklahoma.[4]
"Not only a War God, but a Cultured Pearl model to boot."
So not all of these were Cultured Pearls?
Thanks all!

So true, tikiskip.
Frankoma has a pretty informative Wikipedia page. I wish I had known to look for Club Trade Winds and the Cultured Pearl ceramics when I lived in Dallas. Norman, OK is about an hour drive from Dallas.
The coconuts I have in my collection are very heavy and well made. I actually use them because they are well made.

There are magazines that document everything Frankoma and five books you can get on Amazon.com. The magazine is called Pot and Puma. She was a contributor as was her sister Donna. It only stopped being published a couple of years ago. I've put some information on page one of my "other crafts" thread. Wendy

Not so much a find but a gift from my friend Tiki Vato. A parrot from the sadly now defunct Bahooka, hanging in his new home. Thanks buddy.
