I am sure you will see this but I like that Lanai ashtray--is that from the place in NY? The font looks the same as on some of their menus so I am thinking perhaps it is?

Found this Blue Hawaii rum barrel while thrifting in Maryland. Have't seen this before with the bamboo font.

Asrak, you are certainly right--the logo on the menu is match to the one on both of the ashtrays we have. We found them at an estate along with several other old (non-tiki) NYC restaurant ashtrays. Thanks for sharing the menu--and welcome to Tiki Central!

What a cool and rare find! I knew I had seen a mug like that before and my memory did not fail... here from the Kona Kai:
(from 8ft Tiki on the Kona Kai Philadelphia thread)
I've never seen the Kona Kai Rum Barrel (been looking for years) nor the newly discovered alternate Blue Hawaii Rum Barrel. Great find and congratulations.

This week's pair:
Solomon Islands Head
This guy showed up at the swapmeet a few weeks ago. I figured no one else would know what it was, and the chance of another Solomon islands collector happening by it was rare, so I left it there in hopes that the price would go down a bit. Today it finally devalued enough that I bought it. The seller said " I knew you were going buy it!" And I said, "why, because I'm the only guy who has looked at in the last 6 weeks!" It made his wife chuckle, so I handed her the cash...
Clamshell turtle design
Pearl shell crescent pendant
It's missing a shell ring or spikes in the nose.
Free made in china mug they gave away at the UCSD bookstore:
Buzzy Out!

Wow those lamps are amazing!! Is the round one a globe that has been covered in cut up piece of tapa?
Be sure to report back on where these all came from if you find out! Awesome!

On the nautical side of tiki: An old liquor bottle dating to the mid- to late-1800s and covered with barnacles!
