This place is cool (well, the bookstore and building are anyway)! My fiancee's parents live about a mile from here and I took some pics of the Moai outside. There's also pics on this website (not mine):

Maybe we need to get both establishments a copy of the Book Of Tiki.

Found this article that was written just a few months after I ran across the Porpoise Pub. Has anyone been by it lately?
Porpoise Pub to reopen, sans monkey
By SHARON L. BOND and ANNE LINDBERG
Published December 5, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SEMINOLE - The Porpoise Pub at 8701 Seminole Blvd. is under renovation and expects to have its kitchen reopened Dec. 13 after being closed for more than a decade, according to Dan Mannello, the pub's new general manager.
Mannello said the ownership group has two new partners who are refurbishing the pub, which opened in 1958 and at one time featured porpoises in its pool and at least one monkey in its open-air bar.
Mannello said that in the pub's heyday, it was known for its deli sandwiches and plans to revert to those stackers in its new life as well as pizza and Cuban sandwiches.

Funny...never thought of the Porposie Pub as tiki ! Used to smoke massive amounts of p@t in the back in the late 70's ....
I'm going to stop by this week and have a drink or 4 it has to be 10+ years since I stumbled out of there !!!!!

I'm going to be in Treasure Island this weekend. This should make for an interesting detour.
