I discovered it today at a Birmingham thrift store for $50, it's absolutely amazing. Looks like it just came from the department store in the 60's. Has witco stamps on back too & is huge, bigger than Firedancers. Like firedancers, I have nowhere to put it and so will put it on auction where it can get to one of you who can properly display and appreciate it (with a nice profit margin for my efforts of course

I found one of these at a thrift shop also for $7.99 I tried selling it and found out it would cost me $120.00 to ship. So I still have it hope you have better luck. I cant believe the tag was still on the one you found.

you should take it to mailboxes etc. I've shipped bigger stuff than this (and gotten bigger stuff than this shipped to me) for $50 or so.
(I bought 2 witco melanesian people on ebay for $20 and the shipping was only $20... box was over 4 feet long) - they were only $20 because the description-challenged seller listed them as "wood man and woman"

I live about 3 to 4 hours from you and could pick it up. When is the auction?

Anyone is certainly welcome to pick-up. Oddly enough, this was $50 at the thrift store, which is pretty high for a thrift store. When I found Firedancers, it was marked $16.50. I think the pricing was due to the sheer size and perfect condition, since they obviously didn't know what they had on their hands.
I'm starting the bidding at $100:
