Here in the Bay Area there is a project going on called Village Harvest. Thier gig is getting unwanted fruit from people's homes, and giving it to underprivilaged kids, elderly, and making preserves from perishables which are sold. The profits from that go to Second Harvest Food Bank. (food bank for the homeless)
That's all nice, but the good part is thier products are the Mutt's Nuts! If you hate shopping, like I do, give these folks a chance.
Along the Tropical line of things, they have (of course) Seville Orange Marmalade (With and W/O Ginger) Kumquat Marmalade, Guava Jelly, Loquat Butter, Meyer Lemon Marmalade, Poha Berry and Apple Cranberry Chutney.
