Thanks for sharing as always! I love hearing these since my exposure to this kind of stuff is so limited where I'm from.

Thanks for sharing Bongo! Great website!
I was wondering if you've ever worked (or would consider working) any similar charity drives for the flood victims in Haiti. It's not in the news much these days and not a lot of awareness but many are still reeling from the lack of fresh water, supplies, etc.

As the late great John Peel, said, 'Life has surface noise'.
Just downloading as we speak - yeah, 'Land of Oden' is truly a classic pulled from the far reaches of exotica. The scratchy sound just adds to the feeling of otherworldliness.

I just listened to "Land of Oden" again from the Acetatica collection, and it reminded me a whole lot of "Theme from The Endless Summer", one of my all-time favorite movies.
Here's a link to a sample of the music from the "Theme". Do these songs sound remarkably similar to anyone else? I wonder if there was some inspiration, or a link between the two songs I'm in the dark about.

(Click on "Theme from Endless Summer" for a sample)
EDIT:
Okay, I'm floored. I opened both songs in different audio players, synched them up, and played them at the same time, and they're perfectly in sync timing wise (at least for a while) and seem to be in the same key. Together they're a new and improved uber-tikiesque song. It's a revelation.
Try it and you'll see what I mean.
