Today in 1877 Emile Berliner invented the first microphone, thus making possible telephones, tape recorders, hearing aids, radio and television broadcasting... and exotica records.
Also, I'd like to send out a Happy St. Casimir's Day to all our Polish & Lithuanian ohana. Eat a muginukas for me!

If Mr. Berliner hadn't invented the microphone, Mr. Nixon would have probably finished out his second term...
