I'm pretty sure the topic of the thread isn't complaining either. and there's always been modern stuff in this thread. me bothering to make any contributions is very unlikely for the foreseeable future because of the recent complaining ( maybe moving this thread to the ultra secret grand members area in response to other valid points that not everyone cares or needs to see this topic.)

Well I'd like to shout some appreciation to martian-tiki for his considerable efforts in connection with this thread, AND at the same time say that I share the concerns about crossing a certain line beyond which this site just seems not meant to go. "Lines" like that often get better defined through a bit of "pushback" now and then but I sure hope no offense or lack of appreciation is felt during that process. Ideally it's all to the good in the long term and no bitterness lingers.
Here's something so tame I'm not even sure it fits the bill as "erotica," but I hope that little guy in the corner is tiki, or else I've struck out entirely. (In addition to revealing my ignorance and/or research laziness at this particular moment.)

Anyone offended needn't visit, though I suppose curiousity will forever kill the cat.
Admittedly, this thread might appear to some to be on the unseemly side compaired to others
but nudity in varying degree appears throughout Tiki Central as a matter of course.
The thought of a forum dedicated to the western interpretation of south sea island idyll
without sex is entirely unfathomable. At times I've wondered to myself how many current Tiki
fans, who remember visiting vintage Tiki establishments with thier parents, were actually concieved
when Ma & Pa got carried away with it all after a night out at thier favourite Dons' or Vics',
maybe it was just the rum after all, who knows?
As far as the contemporary images are concerned, I don't think they should have been included but
that's just my opinion. My personal interest is most definately rooted in vintage and even antique
photography on this topic, whether they include images of actual Tiki or not, the thought that they
might have been taken in someones vintage Tiki bar is interest enough (even though most images appear
to feature professional models), or even featuring accoutrements commonly found in such a place might
lend legitimacy, including western women pretending to be polynesian, even just for one night.
martian-tiki, although the contents of vintage mens magazines aren't really my cup of tea, your posts
are spectacular to say the least and I'd ask you not to stop. The next amazing Tiki find is just the turn
of a page away.

The modern photos are OK if it's just a few, but a whole photo session was a bit too much. Especially pics where the Moai is barely in the pic.

We do need to keep the thread within certain boundaries and establish specific guidelines. Otherwise it becomes like the Exotic Girl Thread or the Exotica Girl Thread where guys start posting their favorite naked lady photos unrelated to the topic.
